6-TECH was created to provide the University Campus Community with a single point of contact for technology support. In keeping with the ITS Vision Statement, our clients can call one number: 336-256-TECH (8324) and get immediate technical support from the 6-TECH Service Desk (or be directed to the proper support personnel on campus).

6-TECH hours of service:
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except during the following holiday periods:

New Year: Closes at 7pm, December 31 - Re-opens at 10am, January 2
Spring Holiday: Closes at 10pm, Thursday - Re-opens at 7am, Monday
Thanksgiving: Closes at 10pm, Wednesday - Re-opens at 10am, Friday
Winter Holiday: Closes at 7 pm, December 24 - Re-opens at 10am, December 26


6-TECH Online

In addition to assistance by phone or email, 6-TECH assistance is also available via 6-TECH Online, a self-service Web application available 24x7, that allows you to:

  • search for answers to your technical questions
  • submit a ticket to the 6-TECH Service Desk if your search does not produce an adequate solution.
  • view previously submitted 6-TECH tickets.
