Access MyCloud with Receiver for the Web

Follow the instructions below to login to MyCloud via a web browser ("Receiver for Web").

Note: "Receiver for Web" will suit most needs if you don't want to or are unable to install the Citrix Receiver locally on your computer. However, Information Technology Services (ITS) recommends using the Citrix Receiver for full functionality. See: Access MyCloud in Your Office or at Home for instructions on installing and configuring the Citrix Receiver.

To use Receiver for Web:

  1. Open a browser and go to
  2. Enter your UNCG User name and Password and click Log On.

  3. If you are enrolled in UNCG 2FA, click Send me a Push and tap Approve on your Duo-enrolled phone. Your two-factor authentication is completed and your browser will be redirected to MyCloud.

  4. Click OK to accept the Acceptable Use policy.

Timeout for Receiver for Web Session

When Accessing MyCloud with Receiver for the Web, there is a timeout that applies to user sessions within “Receiver for Web.” If a user’s session times out, they can continue to use any desktops or applications that they are currently running. However, the user must log on again to regain functionality of “Receiver for Web” to perform tasks such as launching applications, desktops, or subscribing to applications.

The timeout is set to 30 minutes. After 25 minutes of inactivity, the user will be presented with the following message:

After the countdown, the session will end and the user will need to log on again to use Receiver for Web.

Note: If user is enrolled in 2FA, they will be asked for the 2nd factor unless they checked the box to remember for 15 days.
