Installing Applications on the ISP Network (Mac)

Some applications are accessible from the network for you to use on your UNCG-owned computer. For information about what software is available, go to the Software @ UNCG web page and select the Available Software link.

Note: Windows clients on the ISP network do not have the ability to install networked applications. As a Windows client, you must join the General Computing Network (GCN) to access applications, or use MyCloud to access software through a Windows virtual desktop.

To access software through the MacApps volume:

  1. From the Finder menu, click Go and select Connect to Server. A window similar to the one below will open.

  2. Type smb://isputility01.uncg.edu/MacApps in the Server Address text box.
  3. Click the Connect button.
  4. When prompted, enter your UNCG credentials* and click Connect.

*NOTE: Your Name should be in the form "campus\username" (ex: campus\jldoe).
