eduroam @ UNCG
eduroam (education roaming) is the secure worldwide federated network access service developed for the international research and education community. eduroam allows UNCG faculty, staff, and students to use their UNCG user name and password to access wireless network services when visiting participating institutions. In addition, it enables UNCG to serve as a hotspot for eduroam members visiting our campus.
Where is eduroam?
eduroam is covered throughout the majority of Wireless Locations on the UNCG campus, in addition to locations across the United States (see eduroam-US Institutions) and Internationally (see eduroam International Map). You can also read more specific information about eduroam in other countries.
Who Can Use eduroam and Why?
Anyone with a UNCG user name can use eduroam on the UNCG campus or at other participating universities. Eduroam is especially recommended to international students, traveling faculty, and guest lecturers visiting other universities as an enhanced alternative to traditional guest wireless services. International travelers may be particularly interested due to well-established eduroam programs available in other countries such as Europe and Asia-Pacific. US travelers should stay tuned in as the eduroam US federation is on the rise!
