03 July 2007

A temperature sensor error was discovered on one of the routers in the new network. Cisco was contacted, and advised that the sensor resulting in this error should be replaced as soon as possible. The part has been received, and will be replaced over the holiday. The PE02 router will have to be shut down to replace this part; affecting all network accessible resources in 34 buildings. The Data Center and the Internet will not be affected by this change. The outage is scheduled to begin at Wednesday, July 4 at 7:00 AM. The outage is expected to last 10 to 15 min while the faulty part is being replaced. The affected buildings are listed below.
