What: UNCG Student Email (Powered by Google)
When: Beginning Monday, October 15th
As part of ongoing efforts to improve email services for students, Information Technology Services (ITS) is pleased to introduce UNCG Student Email powered by Google. Beginning Monday, October 15th, students will be able to opt-in to the UNCG Student Email pilot program, and will have the email address username@spartan.uncg.edu.
Participation in the UNCG Student Email pilot program is voluntary for UNCG students. e-Spartan (Lotus) accounts will continue to operate as normal during the course of the pilot for students who choose not to opt in.
Faculty/Staff are not eligible to participate in the UNCG Student Email pilot program. If you are a faculty/staff member who is also taking classes at UNCG, you will not be eligible to participate in the pilot program.
For students who opt-in to the pilot program, all email sent to username@uncg.edu will be sent to the new username@spartan.uncg.edu Google account for the duration of the pilot.
