What: Patch to repair Lotus "Unknown Time Zone" error
The patches that will resolve an "Unknown Time Zone" error message that may appear on your screen upon starting Lotus are available in the Novell Application Explorer. The patches are located in the UNCG Applications > UNCG_TREE > Lotus Notes folder on your desktop. You can run the patch pertaining to your particular operating system and browser by reading the instructions below:
- If you are running Windows XP and IE (Internet Explorer) 6, use the IE 6 Unknown Time Zone Patch. This will run patches for both XP and IE 6.
- The IE 6 patch will run first, and you will be prompted to reboot when it finishes
- Answer "No," and let the second patch run for the operating system
- After the second patch has run, restart your machine. You should no longer be prompted about the error.
- If you are running Windows XP and IE 7, use the IE 7 "Unknown Time Zone Patch." The procedure will be the same as for IE 6.
- If you are running Windows XP and the Firefox browser, use the Unknown Time Zone Patch for Firefox. The procedure will be the same as for IE 6.
