What: Wireless Printing Available for Vista Clients

Beginning February 6th, Information Technology Services (ITS) will offer web printing service via Vista. This service has been available since October for those students, faculty, and staff using Windows XP; and now includes the Vista operating system.
This service is available only through the UNCG wireless network (including common areas of the residence halls), and on the wired UNCG network. At this time, it is not accessible from off-campus or from the wired network in the residence halls.
To use this service with the Vista operating system, clients will need to download two hot fixes. For information about installing the hot fixes, login to 6-TECH Online and search with the terms: uprint or web printing.
Additionally, printing kiosks have also been installed in the Bryan Food Court and EUC. These kiosks contain print release stations that operate in the same way as all other print release stations in the ITS computer labs. Print drivers for these kiosks are also on the iPrint site.
