Information Technology Services (ITS) has seen a rise lately in clients reporting "bounce back" spam email messages. These messages are the result of mail falsely sent from a user's address by a spam server.
In an effort to help users identify and deal with these messages, effective immediately, messages suspected of being bounce back spam email messages will be identified by UNCG's email servers and will have the following subject line: PMX-BOUNCE- "Original Subject" to make them quickly identifiable.
Using the "PMX-BOUNCE" phrase, users can create a mail rule in Lotus redirecting such messages to their trash or a mail folder. To learn more about Lotus mail rules, go to 6-TECH Online, login using your Novell username and password, and enter "mail rules" into the search box.
