Spartan Email Delivery Stopped

  • Who: This affects only students who opted in to the Spartan.uncg.edu pilot email program during the Fall 2007 semester. Students were notified via email on May 8 and May 25, 2009.
  • What: Mail has stopped being delivered for the address username@spartan.uncg.edu and access to http://spartan.uncg.edu has been removed.
  • When: Monday, June 1, 2009
This notice is for all students who opted in to the UNCG Student Email (Spartan Mail) pilot during the Fall 2007 semester. As a part of that pilot, your email address was username@spartan.uncg.edu. Once all students were moved into iSpartan in August 2008, email addresses became username@uncg.edu. However, Information Technology Services (ITS) continued to deliver mail for Spartan Pilot members at username@spartan.uncg.edu to give them time to transition fully to iSpartan.

On Monday, June 1, 2009, ITS removed access to the spartan.uncg.edu domain and stopped delivering mail for username@spartan.uncg.edu. This means:
