UNCG Computing Services Available | Portions of 3/14-15

  • When: 5 PM on Sat, 3/14 to 12 AM on Sun, 3/15 (all services); 6 PM on 3/14 to 4 AM on 3/15 (Blackboard)
  • Why: Installation of networking equipment & upgrades
  • Client Action: None

No UNCG computing services (including email, Blackboard, Banner, and others) will be available from 5 PM on Saturday, March 14, through 12 AM Sunday morning, March 15. During this time ITS will be installing new core network equipment in the data centers, and performing software upgrades on all data center network components. All services, except Blackboard, will be available by 12 AM Sunday morning.

ITS will be performing database upgrades on the Blackboard environment, and Blackboard services are not expected to be available until 4 AM on Sunday (3/15).

For the duration of the service outage, all inbound and outbound email will be queued for delivery, and will be delivered as soon as email service is restored.
