Campus Voice Mail System Repaired and Stable

Last week, a notification was sent that the campus voice mail system was experiencing technical difficulties. A faulty disk drive was replaced last weekend, and the voice mail system has remained stable throughout the week. A very small number of users (less than 10) lost voice mail messages as a result of this event.

Faculty and staff voice mail is supplied through a system that was installed in the early 1990's. This system is scheduled to be replaced by a new voice mail system over the next few months as part of the Voice Over IP project.
