Printing at UNCG
UNCG offers wireless and color printing to faculty, staff, and students on campus.
- Printing in the ITS Computer Labs
There are 13 printers available in the ITS computer labs for faculty, staff, and students. These public printers may be used for a fee. For more information, including cost, go to the Pay-for-Print web page.
- Web Printing
To print from a wireless laptop, you must install the printer from the printer installation web page. For instructions on installing and configuring the printers, logon to 6-TECH Online and search using the keywords: uprint or web printing.
PLEASE NOTE:- If your laptop is running Windows Vista, be sure to download the required hot fixes before installing the web printing software. For instructions, logon to 6-TECH Online and search using the keywords: uprint or web printing.
- The web printing service is available through the UNCG wired and wireless networks and is also available from off-campus, including the wired network in the residence halls.
- ITS does not recommend that documents with sensitive or confidential information be submitted to campus printers from off campus. A risk exists that documents sent from off-campus could be intercepted by a third party.
- Color Printing
There is a color printer available for faculty, staff, and students in the ITS SuperLab in the Jackson Library. For more information, including cost, go to the Pay-for-Print web page.
