Service: Mac Support

Description

Information Technology Services (ITS) provides Mac support to faculty, staff and students as outlined below.  Assistance can be obtained by visiting the 6-TECH Service Center in the McNutt building or by contacting 6-TECH at (336) 256-TECH (8324) or 6-TECH@uncg.edu.

For faculty and staff with UNCG-owned Mac hardware, support includes: 

  • First time setup
  • Warranty hardware repair and replacement by certified technicians
  • Out-of-warranty hardware repair (part costs billed to department)
  • Software installation and troubleshooting
  • Printing setup and troubleshooting
  • Network connectivity (wireless and wired)

For students with Mac hardware purchased through the Student Laptop Program, available support includes:

  • First time setup
  • Warranty hardware repair and replacement by certified technicians
  • Out-of-warranty hardware repair (part costs billed to the student)
  • Software installation and troubleshooting
  • Network connectivity (wireless and wired)
