Service: Training Opportunities
Information Technology Training Opportunities on Campus
Information Technology Services (ITS) offers free training to faculty, staff, and students at UNCG through a combination of online and in person training. Offerings range from basic, introductory workshops to more specialized training for campus web developers, department technology coordinators (DTC's) and department technology support staff (DTS's).
Available topics include:
- Instructor Led and Online Training through Microsoft Imagine Academy on technology related topics.
- Online training includes all levels of MS Office, MS technical topics, Web development, and other topics.
Instructor-led workshop topics include Canvas, WordPress, Web Hosting, SAS, SPSS, Qualtrics, iSpartan email and calendaring, cloud file storage (Drive, Box, and OneDrive), and more.
Registration for workshops is online at the UNCG Workshops and Event Calendar. All ITS workshops are listed under ITS-Training.
When you sign up for a workshop:
- Please sign up for only one session of a specific topic.
- Reserve your space as soon as possible because space is limited.
- Include your name, UNCG user name, phone number, and other information on the sign-up form.
Classes start and end on time, so please be prompt. If you cannot attend a class for which you are registered, email the contact for that class.
Upon request by instructors, ITS also offers workshops to classes which may be tailored to their needs.
To suggest a topic for a workshop, send an email to 6-TECH.
You may evaluate our training sessions by filling out our Training Evaluation Form [UNCG login required].
