Student Software Purchases

Information Technology Services (ITS) is pleased to be able to offer the following purchasing opportunities to students who are considering computer software purchases.  To purchase from the vendors below, you will be required to create an account with that vendor that is independent of your university credentials

• Microsoft Office
  Microsoft Office is available through JourneyEd online at a significant discount. Go to the JourneyEd Web site and select College from the pull-down menu. Then select North Carolina and UNCG. Specific information about the software version available for purchase is on the JourneyEd Web site.

  Note: Laptops purchased through the University's Student Laptop Initiative come pre-loaded with Microsoft Office. Read About the Laptops for more information.

• Adobe Software
  Computer Intelligence Association (CIA) offers discounted Adobe software. Visit CIA online for purchasing details.
  
• Symantec/Norton Anti-Virus
  The latest version of Symantec Anti-Virus (for Windows systems) and Norton Anti-Virus (for Mac systems) are available for only $5.00. Please visit the ITS Client Services office in 337A McIver to pick up a copy.
• SPSS Leasing
  SPSS may be installed on a university (desktop or laptop) computer hard drive, or used on a home computer by faculty, staff or students enrolled in degree granting programs at UNCG. To learn more visit the SPSS Lease Information System.
• SAS Leasing
  The current version of SAS is available on campus in the UNCG Applications folder. SAS is also available for home use by Students, Faculty and staff. To learn more, visit: SAS Lease Information System.
• Additional Software
  JourneyEd offers additional software at discounted prices for UNCG affiliates. For details, go to the JourneyEd Web site and select College from the pull-down menu. Then select North Carolina and UNCG.

NOTE: Students should visit the University Student Laptop Initiative web page for information about purchasing a laptop. Recommended models come with recommended software and on campus support.
