Student Voice Mail Instructions

At the start of the Fall semester, you are assigned a Voice Mail Box Number. This number is provided to you by Residence Life. This Voice Mail Box Number will remain with you while you are continously enrolled at UNCG. If you change rooms, call 336-334-4544 to notify us of the room change. Your Voice Mail Box will follow you to your new room.

To set up your voice mailbox

1. Dial 4-5700.
2. Press *.
3. Enter your Voice Mail Box Number.
4. Enter your initial password (your ID Number).
5. Change your password. Your new password must be at least 6 digits.
6. Follow the prompts. You will be asked to enter your name and greeting.

To get your messages from your room

1. Dial 4-5700.
2. Press your extension number.
3. Enter your password.
4. Follow the prompts.

1. Dial 4-5700.
2. Press * and enter your Voice Mail Box Number.
3. Enter your password.
4. Follow the prompts.

To get your messages from anywhere else

1. Dial 4-5700 (334-5700 if you are off campus).
2. Press * when the system answers.
3. Enter your Voice Mailbox Number.
4. Enter your password.
5. Follow the prompts.
