UNCG is moving to Banner Web Time Entry, a new system that allows employees to submit timesheets and report leave electronically through the UNCGenie Employee Self-Service Portal. This system will replace spreadsheet-based timesheets and other electronic timekeeping systems currently in use, with the exception of Kronos, ServiceNow, and NCRLAP.org.
Implementation Timeline
The transition to Banner Web Time Entry will occur in phases:
- April 2025 – Exempt employees begin submitting timesheets in UNCGenie.
- Date TBD – Hourly student and temporary employees begin using UNCGenie.
- Date TBD – Non-exempt and non-exempt Law Enforcement (LEO) employees transition to UNCGenie.
Project Update
Banner Web Time Entry timesheets for non-exempt and non-exempt LEO employees will no longer be implemented in June 2025 as originally planned. Please see the Banner Web Time Entry tech initiatives site for more information about Web Time Entry for this group.
Mandatory Training for Exempt Employees & Supervisors
If you are an exempt employee using ServiceNow to record your time, you do not need to attend.
Training sessions are in progress for exempt employees and supervisors. Please register for training at workshops.uncg.edu or click the session times below to sign up.
