What: Oracle Database Quarterly Critical Patch Update (CPU)
When: Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Why: Information Technology Services (ITS) follows a standard quarterly patching release schedule to improve delivery and ensure the most secure hosted Oracle database services.
During the maintenance window, the following Oracle-dependent services will be unavailable:
- Faculty and Student Services
- Self-Service Banner (UNCGenie)
- DegreeWorks
- Student Accounts Credit Card Payments
- UNCG Account Provisioning
- AIMS Administrative Services
- Banner Admin Pages
- Banner Workflow
- WebFOCUS reporting from Banner and ODS
- Argos Reporting
- ODS (Operational Data Store)
- Grouper
- Power BI connections to Oracle

No action is required. Please plan around this maintenance window if you need to use the affected services.
