Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026, UNCG Information Technology Services (ITS) will enable single sign-on (SSO) for all Autodesk accounts associated with UNCG email addresses, including accounts used for free Autodesk products.
Who
Faculty, staff, and students who use Autodesk products with their UNCG email addresses, including free applications such as Tinkercad.
What
Autodesk users will sign in using their UNCG account credentials instead of a separate Autodesk password.
When signing in to Autodesk, users will enter their UNCG email address and be automatically redirected to the familiar UNCG-branded Microsoft sign-in screen. They will then sign in using their UNCG password and multifactor authentication (MFA).

Why
Single sign-on allows users to access multiple applications using the same account credentials.
This change will:
- Simplify access by allowing users to sign in with their UNCG credentials.
- Reduce passwords by eliminating the need for a separate Autodesk password.
- Improve security by using UNCG’s approved multifactor authentication methods.
Do I Need to Do Anything?
No action is required. ITS will enable single sign-on automatically. Beginning Nov. 10, users will be redirected to the UNCG sign-in screen when they enter their UNCG email address in Autodesk.
