UNCG Faculty, staff, and students who have the paid version of Microsoft 365 Copilot.
When Is This Available?
This update is available now.
What is Changing?
Anthropic AI models are now available for accounts with Microsoft 365 Copilot.
How Do I Change to the Claude Model?
Open Microsoft 365 Copilot (paid version), then:
- Click Researcher.
- Click the Model button.
- Select Claude.
Do I Need to Do Anything?
No action is required.
If you have a paid Microsoft 365 Copilot license, the Anthropic models will show up automatically when you change the Researcher agent.
What About Data Protection?
Anthropic models in Microsoft 365 Copilot follow the same enterprise data protections as the OpenAI GPT model.
- Your prompts, responses, and any data shared with Copilot are not used by Microsoft or Anthropic to train models.
- Enterprise data protection policies remain in place.
- Copilot can only access emails, files, and chats that you already have permission to view.
As a reminder, you should not share L3 or L4 data in CoPilot, regardless of which model you select.
