Beginning Monday, Mar. 2, access to internal Power BI dashboards created by Institutional Research and Enterprise Data Management (IREDM) that require login will require completion of both FERPA Training and ITS Security Awareness Training.
This change helps ensure that institutional data is handled responsibly, securely, and in compliance with university policies and federal regulations.
Who Is Affected?
All employees who access internal Power BI dashboards created by IREDM that require login.
What’s Changing?
Employees must complete both required trainings to maintain access to internal dashboards:
- FERPA Training
- ITS Security Awareness Training
Employees who have not completed both trainings by Monday, Mar. 2 will temporarily lose access to internal dashboards.
Once both trainings are completed, access will be restored the following day.
Why This Change?
These training requirements help protect sensitive university data and ensure compliance with federal regulations and UNCG policies.
Do I Need to Do Anything?
If you have already completed both trainings, no action is needed.
If not, complete the required trainings as soon as possible to avoid a temporary interruption in access.
