What Is Happening?
ITS will install scheduled operating system updates on servers that support Oracle databases.
The following services will be affected during the maintenance window:
- Faculty and Student Services Self-Service
- Self-Service Banner (UNCGenie)
- DegreeWorks
- Student Accounts credit card payments
- UNCG Account Provisioning
- AIMS Administrative Services
- Banner Admin Pages
- Banner Workflow
- WebFOCUS reporting from Banner and ODS Degree Works
- ODS
- Grouper
- Power BI connections to Oracle
When?
Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, 5:30 – 7:30 a.m.
Why?
ITS follows a standard quarterly patching schedule to keep hosted Oracle database servers secure and up to date.
Do I Need to Do Anything?
No action is required. If you use one of the affected services, plan for possible interruptions during the maintenance window.
