Technology Support Center
The Technology Support Center is located in Forney 101. This facility serves as a repair center for student laptops purchased through the University’s student laptop program. In addition, the center offers wireless consultation services to all UNCG students, faculty, and staff.
UNCG Outsources Email to Google
After successfully outsourcing student email to Google Apps For Education (GAFE) in August 2008, Information Technology Services has decided to proceed with outsourcing of faculty/staff email and calendar to GAFE as well. After two years of study, ITS has decided this is the best route to meeting our service and sustainability goals, and that we can do this while protecting security and meeting UNCG's legal compliance obligations.
Campus-wide Hardware Procurement Project
This program provides UNCG purchasers the opportunity to purchase new business-class computer equipment at attractive prices, based on volume discounts provided by the vendors. UNCG also benefits by having standardized hardware, an improved inventory collection, and an improved relation with the vendors.
