ITS will launch a new self-service guest wireless portal for UNCG-Wireless on Monday, Aug. 10, 2026. The updated sign-in experience gives campus visitors additional ways to connect to the guest wireless network using email, text message (SMS), or a social login.
Who Is Affected?
- Campus visitors and guests using UNCG-Wireless
- Faculty and staff who host guests on campus
What Is Happening?
ITS is upgrading the UNCG-Wireless guest portal to a new self-service sign-in experience.
Guests can verify their identity using one of the following methods:
- Text message (SMS)
- Social login using Google, Amazon, or Microsoft
When?
Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at 5:30 a.m.
Why?
This update provides a faster and easier way for campus visitors to connect to the UNCG guest wireless network.
Do I Need to Do Anything?
No action is required.
UNCG students, faculty, and staff should continue using eduroam with SecureW2. This change only affects the UNCG-Wireless guest network.
