UNCG is upgrading from UDOIT to YuJa Panorama to strengthen digital accessibility in Canvas and prepare for upcoming federal requirements.
YuJa Panorama is a more robust accessibility tool built directly into Canvas. The upgrade will provide broader WCAG 2.1 coverage, improved file scanning, and enhanced remediation capabilities.
This move also supports compliance with the upcoming ADA Title II digital accessibility requirements.
Why this Upgrade?
- A more reliable tool that scans both Canvas pages and Canvas files
- Expanded WCAG 2.1 coverage
- Improved remediation support within Canvas
- Stronger alignment with the new ADA Title II digital accessibility requirements.
Additional details about features and functionality will be shared as testing progresses.
When Is This Happening?
- February: Technical testing to ensure smooth Canvas integration
- March: Early adopter testing with faculty and academic support staff
- August: Full campus launch
UDOIT will remain available through Nov. 30 while instructors adjust to YuJa Panorama.
Additional details about YuJa Panorama features and instructor resources will be shared as testing progresses this spring. ITS will provide guidance and support ahead of the full launch in August.
